PM motor driven AHC winch for Statoils hot tapping project completion
For the first time ever, remote-controlled equipment and a subsea welding robot have installed a new tie-in on a live gas line with no other preparation.
Engineers from Industrilink has been involved in the design, engineering, production, testing, commissioning and training of the control and electrical system for the AHC winch.

Vacon and Industrilink sign a partnership agreement
The global frequency converter manufacturer Vacon has signed a three-year agreement with Industrilink. The agreement will enhance the market position of both parties and will contribute to an efficient management of trade and customer support.
“We are tremendously pleased to become a Vacon partner, this new establishment is both strategic and necessary to meet our customers’ demands for service and support,” announces Mr Frode Melberg, Managing Director of Industrilink.
Self propelled long range tunnel boring machine (TBM)
The NDL700HR (Norhard Directed Long hole Hard Rock) has developed the first ND700HR further. The TBM is using a special designed permanent magnet electrical motor that is directly attached to the drill bit and is self propelled with dynamic directional control. The NDL700HR can do high precision directional drilling of tunnels with lengths up to 2000 meters and a diameter of 700mm.
Industrilink has been involved in development of the electrical- and control system in addition to software programming, testing and commissioning.
The first tunnel drilled, at Vågaåna hydro power plant, with this equipment, was successfully completed 7. July 2010. Length 730 meter, diameter 700mm, vertical height difference 345 meter.

TBM ND700HR project completion
The first tunnel has successfully been drilled at Hommafossen hydro power plant and was completed in the beginning of July 2007.
Industrilink has been involved from the start of this project in the development of the control- and electrical system. The control- and electrical system for the tunnel boring machine was manufactured, tested and commissioned by Industrilink. The machine is drilling tunnels with a diameter of 0,7 meters and lengths reaching approximately 500 meters. The drilling is powered by a special design permanent magnet electrical motor that is directly attached to the drill bit. The motor and the drill bit are thus the only rotating parts of the system. The drilling is done from below at a rising slope, water is pumped through the drill string flushing out the cuttings as the drilling is proceeding. An outside skid using hydraulic cylinders is used to apply pressure to the non-rotating drill sting and thus the drill bit.
Hommafossen stage one tunnel data: Length 72 meter, diameter 700mm, vertical height difference of approximately 40 meter.
